Conference photography serves a specific purpose. Organisations need images for post-event reports, media releases, social media, and internal comms. That means a mix of wide room shots showing attendance, speaker portraits, and candid delegate interaction. You need all three.

I have covered events including the Dementia Together conference for Catholic Care and similar community health and professional development events. These events often have a PR or media component, and the images need to be ready quickly. Turnaround is same day for press releases where required, and within 48 hours for the full edited gallery.

Sport and community events

I work with Rugby League Mackay and District on junior and senior competition. Sport photography demands fast lenses, fast reactions, and an understanding of the game. You cannot shoot rugby league at the right moment if you do not know where the action is about to go.

Beyond sport, Mackay runs a full calendar of community events, charity runs, award nights, and industry functions. The photography brief is usually the same: document the event well enough that someone who was not there can understand what it was and why it mattered.

If you need images for a press release going out the same evening, that is something I can accommodate. It requires a clear brief upfront so I know which moments and which people are priorities. Edited images for media use can be turned around within hours of an event finishing.

Pricing

Event photography is priced from $450 for the first hour. Half-day and full-day rates are available for longer events. If you have a multi-day conference or recurring event schedule, we can discuss a package rate.
