The story so far
Established in 2013 in the midst of storytelling for local media outlets as a press photographer and journalist, my businesses was first centred around photographing people and their stories on the Sunshine Coast.
Soon, wedding photography enquiries came in and a few years of snowballing enquiries later I found myself photographing weddings full time.
I used to refer to the Sunshine Coast as “wedding photography Mecca” – it’s got quite the variety of venues from ocean to the hinterland. For me it’s the pick of options in South East Queensland.
Moving to Mackay in late 2018 meant starting from scratch in a new region – which definietly had it’s challenges.
Luckily the Mackay region is quite a photogenic place and I’ve documented wedding days for some of the most genuine and down-to-earth couples I’ve met.
My focus is getting the details, a nice range of images and capturing the people who matter most enjoying the day with you and your significant other.
Documentary style for me draws on my experience telling often emotional and very personal stories in news – a story without words at times but never without feeling.
Videography has become a mode of documenting weddings for me particularly in the last 12 months. It’s so special being able to look back at moments that stills can’t quite capture in the same way.
Couple’s favourite is a highlight film with vows recorded, showing the key moments of the day played to music. This 4 minute film is a lovely way to recap a day that feels like a blur to many couples I’ve had the pleasure of shooting with.

What my couples ask about their wedding photography & video in Mackay.
100% I do. I really enjoy the smaller, intimate weddings and elopements. Let me know what your plan is and I’ll let you know what I can do to fit best.
While it is possible – I chose to do one or the other as I like to put 100% into either photography or video so my couples get the best results.
After we have a chat / email / text / coffee about what package works best we require a 50% deposit to book with the remainder due before the wedding day.
Don’t worry, unless they’re members of rival gangs, I should be able to handle them. I love getting everyone in for a big group photo and while I’m yelling (nicely) at everyone to take their sunnies off there’s no time for me to know about what Greg did to Darren 7 years ago and why that has to be an issue now.
I have a subscription to audiio.com which provides licenced music to use for your wedding film. This ensures you don’t get cancelled off social media like Kanye.
